  • Al Borj is established as the first company in the Middle East to offer end-to-end solutions for the garment & textile manufacturing industry.
  • Established Juki, Eastman, and Kansai as our initial Principles.
1988 - 1993
  • Inaugurated the Texpo Exhibition in the UAE.
  • Established Barudan as a Principle.
  • Sold the very first Gerber Accumark Pattern Design System.
  • Brought Wilcom embroidery designing software for the first time into the Middle East.
1994 - 1999
  • Established an 80% market share throughout the Middle East.
  • Facilitated in making the United Arab Emirates as one of the world’s leading hubs for garment manufacturing.
  • Received the Million Dollar Club special recommendation from Gerber Technology for each year.
  • Led Texpo as one of the premier global exhibitions for the garment industry.
  • Launched our very first website, www.al-borj.com, on the 22nd of August 1997.
  • Certified as ISO 9001.
2000 - 2005
  • Received awards from Juki, Barudan, Organ Needles, Gerber, and Pegasus for bringing excellence in sales each year.
  • Inaugurated offices in Kenya and in Jordan.
  • Established visits and seminars in Kenya on behalf of the Government of Japan and Juki.
  • Initiated and led the progress of establishing Kenya and Jordan as new hubs of garment manufacturing.
  • Directed garment manufacturing to shifting factories towards Kenya and Jordan.
2006 - 2011
  • Promoted the Garment Technology Expo in India to direct garment manufacturing into the country.
  • Established the largest car seat upholstery unit in the Middle East and Africa.
  • Among the first to introduce Direct to Garment printing in the region.
  • Sold the largest Barudan, a 56 head, to a customer in Bahrain.
  • Participated in the Dubai Air Show and in INDEX.
  • Received rights to distribute within India.
2012 - 2017
  • Celebrated a dominant market share throughout the Middle East, with the relatively newer industries in Jordan and in Kenya.
  • First of a kind, and the largest since, digital printing project established in Oman.
  • An inaugural medical gown manufacturing unit established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • The largest kandoora manufacturing unit in the history of the Middle East established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Equipped with the most advanced technology available at the time.
  • Took pride in establishing the largest Aircraft seat manufacturing unit in the Middle East and Africa out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Our stitches now found in Emirates, Etihad, FlyDubai, and many others.
2018 - 2023
  • Established Jack as a Principle, the world’s largest manufacturer of industrial sewing machines.
  • Recognized as the leading provider of automated solutions for garment factories across the Middle East and Africa.
  • Held deliberations to improve the garment manufacturing industry of Tanzania.
  • Inaugurated an office in Ghana to bring garment & textile manufacturers to establish factories in the West of Africa.
  • Initiated work with Governmental entities to enhance garment & textile manufacturing in developing countries.
